The Oshkosh Airshow in Oshkosh, Wisconsin is planning a huge gathering of DC-3's in recognition of the 75th anniversary of the DC-3. There will be a formation flight of over 40 DC-3's, and all former crew members, pilots, mechanics, owners, paratroopers, and smokejumpers are invited. Those with some connection to the DC-3 (smokejumpers and smokejumper pilots and crew) will be first to be included as part of the passengers allowed to fly along in this historic occasion. Some limited financial assistance may also be available. This is being billed as the largest gathering of DC-3's since World War II.

Last years attendance was over 578,000 over the six day event. This could be a great opportunity for some good smokejumper exposure, especially since many people from that part of the country are completely uninformed about smokejumping.
