Southern California firefighters gain ground over wildfire thanks to decreased winds

Firefighters struggling to contain the 20,400-acre Mountain Fire, which has destroyed 132 structures and damaged another 88 in Ventura County over a two-day period, could be assisted by a forecast of fierce Santa Ana wind gusts easing early Friday, officials said.
