Herbert L. Corn (Idaho City 1967)

Herb was born February 21, 1946, in Boise, ID. He was the second and youngest son of Homer and May Corn.
He grew up in Southeast Boise, attending grade school at Garfield Elementary, located across the street from his childhood home. He attended East Junior High School and graduated from Boise High School in 1964.
Following a stint in the military reserves, he and a childhood friend began working for the USFS. Herb jumped at Idaho City, 1967-69; at Boise, 1971-79; and at Fairbanks, 1970. He had 25 fire jumps at Idaho City and 44 fire jumps during his time at Boise.
He and his wife, Kathie, were married June 12, 1970, in the Lutheran Log Cabin Church in Fairbanks, AK.
He passed away suddenly in his home on November 2, 1992. He was 46 years old.
