According to Bill Moody, an NSA produced plaque showing smokejumpers killed in action will be dedicated at NCSB, Friday, Sept. 26th at 1100.
Bill is coordinating a news release for area papers and they are also sending a mailing to 1940s-1950s jumpers.
They will also dedicate a plaque to the jumper pilot involved in the crash of the plane that killed two jumpers, a plaque for two retardant pilots killed in the Beaver Lake fire and one to a helicopter pilot killed on a fire west of Twisp.
On Sept. 25th, they are placing a Forest (Okanogan-Wenatchee) plaque at the site of the jumper plan crash
