Ralph O. Williams ( Pilot )

Ralph, 80, died November 4, 1989, in Longview, Washington. He served as a pilot in the Army, and during World War II with the Navy. He also served with the newly formed U.S. Air Force and was a pilot during the Berlin Airlift of 1948. Ralph went to work following the war for Continental Airlines, which at the time had just two planes. He received a Presidential Citation for his activities with the Flying Tigers during the Korean War. Ralph served as a smokejumper pilot in Cave Junction, Oregon. He operated flight schools in Santa Monica, California, and Seaside, Oregon, and was a pilot for more than 50 years.
