Herb died October 6, 2008, at his home in Medford, Oregon. He was born November 6, 1923, in Alberta, Canada, and served in the US Army during WWII and held the rank of Technician fifth grade. After getting out of the service Herb jumped at Cave Junction for four seasons through 1949. He is buried in the Eagle Point Cemetery, in Eagle Point, Oregon.
