Kenneth Reed Harrison ( Grangeville 1960 )

Reed, his wife, Judith , and daughter, Julie , died in a plane crash on July 25, 1993, returning from a family reunion in Utah.
The plane was found on April 29th after an eight-month search.

The plane which Reed was piloting disappeared on July 23, 1993, on a flight from Roosevelt, UT to Camarillo, CA. The wreckage of the plane was found on April 29, 1994 about 26 miles northeast of Baker, CA in the high desert.

Reed was born on April 29, 1939 in Vernal, Utah, moving to Ventura County, California in 1968. He graduated from Utah State University in 1962, received a master's of science degree from the University of Utah in 1968, and earned a Juris Doctor from Whittier College in 1977.

Reed served as a captain in the U.S. Army Infantry from 1963 to 1964, and as a Rural Revolutionary Development Cadre Advisor in Vietnam from 1966 to 1967.

A local attorney in private practice, he was involved in area politics. Reed was a former City of Thousand Oaks Planning Commissioner. He served on the Board of Directors of Ventura County National Bank, Many Mansions, Sunday Afternoon Musicale, and numerous other civic organizations.

Reed jumped at Grangeville 1960-61 and Missoula 1962.
