Orvel, 68, died November 27, 1991, in Omak, Washington. He was born May 14, 1923, in Tacoma. Orvel graduated from Okanogan H.S. in 1940 and entered the Navy during WWII. After the war, he jumped at North Cascades 1946-50 before re-enlisting in 1950 and serving until 1966. After his retirement from the Navy, he was a fire patrol pilot and co-pilot for fire-retardant aircraft.
