My best friend, Robert Howard, was a Missoula jumper in 1965 and 1966. Bob was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig disease) back in late October of 2010. As if that isn't bad enough, over the Christmas holidays Bob found a couple lumps in his neck. He received the biopsy results yesterday (Jan 6,2011), and he now has cancer of the lymph glands.

Bob is trying to wrap his head around all of this, and is pretty down in the dumps right now.
