Montana Gov. Judy Martz, chairman of the Western Governors Association, has called the governors of five western states (Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Oregon and Arizona) to Missoula, Montana for a three day summit to discuss wildland fire issues and forest health.
Also attending the June 17 meeting will be Forest Service Chief Dale Bosworth, Interior Secretary Gale Norton and over 300 others with knowledge or interest in forest and wildfire issues.
The goals include recommendations to be presented to the full association of 18 western states.
