by Ricardo Coronado, KMVT-TV (Twin Falls, Idaho) |

A fire burned more than 2,000 acres north of Gooding, Idaho, as of Sunday morning.

The Bureau of Land Management, Twin Falls District, issued a report explaining the fire was reported about 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

Gooding, Wendell, Bliss and Hagerman rural fire districts, as well firefighters from the Bureau of Land Management, responded to the area to assist.

Idaho Fire Info went to social media to write that the strong winds and terrain have made it difficult for an estimated control time.

No evacuations were in place nor were any structures threatened.

The fire was contained by 6 p.m., according to the BLM. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
