Johnson Tri Motor N8419 Flies Again

Johnson Flying Service Ford Trimotor N8419 flew from Kalamazoo/Battel Creek Michigan Airport to Alma Michigan this week after being resotred by a group of dedicated volunteers.
The plane had not flown in 7 years and had been previosuly disassembled by some well meaning volunteers with no aircraft experience.
N8419 is the plane that crashed at the Moose Creek Ranger Station on August 4, 1959 taking the lives of Smokejumpers Gary Williams and John Rolf and seriouly injuring Ron Stoleson.
