Update on the LAs Vegas crash that has two in the hospital:

A U-S Forest Service employee and a pilot remain hospitalized today after the crash of a twin-engine plane on take-off yesterday at North Las Vegas airport.

The Forest Service says Margery Kuehn-Tabor, from Grangeville, Idaho, has a broken hip and other injuries.

The name and condition of the pilot haven't been made public. He underwent surgery at University Medical Center. He's a contractor, not a Forest Service employee.

Forest Service smokejumper Ron Rucker of Redmond, Oregon, was treated for foot and hand injuries and released yesterday.

The crash happened a little after five p-m yesterday -- while they were taking off to survey several small lightning-sparked blazes in southern Nevada.

The 11-seat 1964 Aero Commander was destroyed. The plane contract company is based out of Wenatchee, Washington.

The F-A-A and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating.
