Ogilvie, James P. (Alaska 1972)

James worked for Forest Service trail and engine crews in the Sequoia, El Dorado, Angeles and Toiyabe national forests. He also worked as a smokejumper for the BLM in Alaska and as a supervisor of an inmate fire crew for the Kern County Fire Department in Bakersfield, Calif. He was superintendent of both the Silver State Hot Shots and the Chilao Hot Shots, a member of the Fulton Hot Shot Crew, Ducks Unlimited, and the Catholic Church. He graduated from California State University, Bakersfield, in 1977. He died at 54 at his home in Carson City, Nev., April 27, 2000.
