Dic died May 10, 1999 of a brain tumor. He graduated from Southern Oregon College in 1967 and was an agriculture pilot for 25 years. Dic also worked as a juvenile counselor for five years. He was one of the original jumpers when the Redmond Base was opened in 1964.
