Experts at the National Interagency Fire Center in Boise are saying the upcoming Colorado fire season looks to be relatively mild due to a fair amount of precipitation so far this year.
Western Colorado will get the most wildfire action, but should not reach the activity seen last year.
"We're not saying that you're not gonna see some large fires, but not nearly as severe as the situations we've seen the last couple years." According to Wildland Fire Analyst Tom Wordell.
