Lee "Hardrock" Jensen (MYL 69-76) Retires"

by Willy Acton |

Lee "Hardrock" Jensen is retiring after 35 years in fire. Lee rookied out of McCall in 69' and left jumping in 76'. Lee is best known for and will be remembered for his legendary sense of humor and exceptional toughness. Does anyone out there remember losing a flip while on project work and having to slide down a freshly peeled lodgepole log naked? How about losing a flip to drink a quart of really old prune juice at the Big Creek Lodge and then getting a fire call into the Middle Fork?

Lee plans on spending a lot more time with the packstring chasing elk and high mountain cutthroat. Rainey (his wife) plans on him fixing fence the horses, rebuilding the barn and painting ceramic art.

His party is feb 14th at the McCall Golf Course Clubhouse at 6PM. Contact Willy Acton Or Sam hescock at 208-634-0612/0610 for more information. See the attached flyer for full information (to be posted soon).
