Idaho Fire Stories Wanted

by Carl Gidlund |

FIRE STORIES WANTED The University of Idaho Press wants original, creative nonfiction about fires from writers who have ties to Idaho. According to university officials, editors are looking for essays that present historical, personal, ecological and spiritual views of fire’s place in society. They’ll be published in the winter of 2003-2004 in the second book of a series that gives Idaho writers’ reflections on the four Greek elements: water, fire, earth and air. Deadline for submissions is Feb. 1, 2003. Double-spaced manuscripts should be sent to Nate Lowe, University of Idaho Press, P.O. Box 441107, Moscow, ID 83844-1107, or by e-mail to nlowe8@hotmail.com.
