On Wednesday April 16th, Redding Smokejumper Tim Quigley completed his 700th parachute jump into Zimmerman Flat in Oregon. Tim was participating in the Interagency Smokejumper Inspector Pilot Workshop facilitated by the Redmond Smokejumper Base, and reached this milestone during one of the training jumps.

Tim is now 3rd all time for smokejumpers nationwide, in terms of highest number of parachute jumps, and he is the all-time leader in parachute jumps performed by a Redding Smokejumper. Tim has 285 fire jumps. Tim has been a smokejumper for 36 years (all out of Redding) and will be retiring on June 30th of this year.
